The Diamond High Council (HRD) in Antwerp is Europe's leading authority when it comes to grading diamonds and jewelry.
HRD desired to completely modernize its existing business applications based on Microsoft technology since the existing applications no longer met the business requirements.
Desired solution
Based on Microsoft .NET Framework and the latest front-end and web technologies, a completely new application landscape was built for diamond grading.
The ABC Microsoft consultants contributed to the coding and implementation of these new applications. They worked in a team of five developers using agile development methodology. The project spanned approximately four years.
Results
The applications are used in five international HRD laboratories for tasks such as registering and grading diamonds and jewelry, printing certificates, and issuing diamonds and jewelry. HRD's clients can now also request an electronic version of their certificates online.
