Understand and strengthen your network and OT Security

After a warm welcome with drinks and refreshments, ABC-Groep kicked off the afternoon with a presentation covering the fundamentals of network and OT security.

During this session, we explored several key questions that many organizations are facing today:

• What does a firewall actually do?
• How can you improve visibility across your network?
• Why is OT security becoming increasingly important?
• How can you translate complex security requirements into actionable steps within your organization?

The focus was deliberately placed on clear insights and practical recommendations rather than technical complexity. Participants gained a better understanding of how a well-secured network forms the foundation of a safe and reliable IT environment.

Experiencing a cyberattack first-hand

Following the presentation, Infinigate guided participants through an interactive OT security session in the Experience Center.

During this realistic simulation, attendees experienced a cyberattack step by step, as if it were unfolding within their own organization. From the initial point of entry to the potential impact on systems and business processes, the exercise demonstrated how quickly an incident can escalate when adequate security measures are missing or insufficient.

In addition to the attack scenarios, participants gained valuable insights into the detection, prevention, and response measures organizations can implement to reduce risks and react more effectively when incidents occur.

The session once again highlighted that cybersecurity is not just an IT concern, it is a critical component of overall business continuity.

Valuable conversations and knowledge sharing

Following the presentations and demonstrations, participants had ample opportunity to continue the discussion during a networking session, complemented by a food truck and a relaxed social setting.

This informal environment encouraged engaging conversations between customers, partners, and security experts. Attendees shared experiences, discussed challenges, and exchanged ideas on how organizations can better protect themselves against the constantly evolving cyber threat landscape.
